Master Plan

Maea Fields opens the door to future developments of the large 230-hectare Calcutta Farms in Matamata. The town’s population is expected to grow by more than 2,800 over the next five years. To make room for that growth, the vision is to sustainably extend Matamata to the east towards Mangawhero Stream.

Further housing, neighbourhood parks, an employment zone and village heart where the community can stay connected are all part of the master plan. The area will also have pedestrian-friendly streets and cycle trails.
